Tante Funeral  Home     July 2007
Julia Mae Jordan Ethridge, age 94, of Buena Vista, Georgia, formerly of 
Americus, Georgia died Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Magnolia Manor of Marion 
County.  

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel 
of Tante Funeral Home in Buena Vista, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens 
in Americus.   Rev. Bobby Jackson officiated.   Pallbearers were her 
grandsons, Bobby Watkins, Gary Watkins, Dwayne Collins, Dickie Ethridge, Ricky 
Harbin and Gary Lee Watkins, Jr.
                                                                               
                  
Mrs. Ethridge was born December 1, 1912 in Abbeville, Georgia, the daughter of 
Andrew and Annie Kitchens Jordan.   She had lived in Americus, Mauk, 
Douglasville, and at the Magnolia Manor of Marion County for the past 2 
years.  She loved her cat, flowers and working in her yard.  She lived a fine, 
long life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis L. Ethridge; by her parents; 
by daughters, Annie May Collins and Jewel Watkins; by a son, Andrew Ethridge; 
by a grandchild, Jackie Watkins; and by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Richard L. Ethridge, Sr. and wife Linda of 
Douglasville, Georgia and Wade Eugene Ethridge and wife Pat of Indianapolis, 
Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great 
grandchildren.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements.
