Montezuma, Ga. – March 5 – W.W. Fain, secretary of the Buena Vista Cigar Co. 
died here last night from the effects of an overdose of strychnine.  He was 
taken sick on the train.  A few minutes before he died the unfortunate young 
man made the statement that he asked for a quinine capsule in a drug store and 
supposed the salesman sold him poison by mistake.  He died last night after 
horrible suffering.

A message was received here the first of the week announcing the death of Mr. 
William Fain, one of the brothers who have been connected with the Buena Vista 
Cigar Co. of our city.  He left here sick some days ago.
