Charles S. Gibb, Jr., age 76, of Mauk, Georgia, died Saturday, May 29, 2010, 
at his residence.

A memorial service was held Sunday, June 6, 2010 2:00 PM at Trinity Freewill 
Baptist Church Taylor County with Rev. Terry Tribble officiating.

Mr. Gibb was born February 12, 1934, the son of the late Charles S. Gibb, Sr. 
and Catherine Hardy Gibb.  He attended The Citadel in Charleston, South 
Carolina, after graduating from Miami High School.  He also served in the 
Marine Reserves.  Moving from Merritt Island, Florida, he had lived in Taylor 
County since 1967.  He retired from NASA and Blue Bird Body Company as an 
engineer. He was an active member of Trinity Freewill Baptist Church and 
served as Sunday Schood Superintendent. Other than his parents, Mr. Gibb was 
preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Frances Gibb, and a brother William 
Thomas Gibb.

Survivors include his wife Margaret (Peggy) Gibb of Mauk, Georgia; two sons, 
Tom Gibb and Patsy of Cave Spring, Georgia, and Gerry Gibb and Julie of Ft. 
Valley, Georgia; a daughter, Pam Guined and Tommy of Butler, Georgia; three 
sisters, Martha Bentley and Jack of Franklin, North Carolina, Cathy Czerwic 
and Helen Altman both of Boca Raton, Florida.  8 grandchildren and 8 great 
grandchildren also survive.
