Wallace Goins, age 78, of Buena Vista, Georgia died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 
at Magnolia Manor of Marion County.

Funeral services were Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist 
Church, Buena Vista, Georgia with Rev. Chris Hess, Rev. Robert Goodman and 
Rev. Mark Chandler officiating.
Burial followed in Buena Vista Cemetery. The family received friends at Tante 
Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 PM.

Mr. Goins was born January 8, 1931, the son of the late Idus Leon and Lona 
Floyd Goins.  He had lived in Buena Vista for the past 49 years, having lived 
his earlier life in Blakley, Georgia.  An Army Veteran, he served during the 
Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church.  He retired after many 
years of working as repair technician with a Dental Supply Company.

Survivors include his wife Deane Goins of Buena Vista, Georgia, sons David 
Goins and wife Charlotte of Phenix City, Alabama, Jon Goins of Columbus, 
Georgia, daughter Amy Goins of Columbus, Georgia, sister, Louise Vickers of 
Mt. Pleasant, Florida, grandchildren, Joshua Goins, Annah Mitchell and husband 
Cecil, Abigail Goins.

Other than his parents, Mr. Goins was preceded in death by a brother Clifford 
Goins.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements with Doyle 
Harris, RustyAide, Butch McMickle, Sam Rigdon, Rod Rodriguez, Joey Wells, 
Jimmy Howell and Brick Wells serving as pallbearers.
