Steven Griffis, age 23, of Buena Vista, Georgia , died on Monday , June 13, 
2011 , in Marion County , GA.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday , June 15 , 2011 , at 2 p.m. at 
Bethany Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend A.R. Curlee and Reverend John 
Sanes officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were Dustin Youngblood , C. J Odom , Cody 
Youngblood, Chad Perry , Travis Fuller, and Jeremy Fuller.
Mr Griffis was born January 7. 1988 , in Ft Benning, GA. to Jimmy Dewayne and 
Anita Dawn Youngblood Griffis . He was Preceded in death by his Paternal 
grandparents, Frances and James Griffis, Sr.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son , Calab Groski of Mauk, 
GA. . by a daughter Haleigh Griffis of Buena Vista, GA: by a brother Gage 
Griffis of Buena Vista, GA, and by his Maternal grandparents, Ruble and Martha 
Youngblood.

YOUNG MAN KILLED IN ACCIDENT IN MARION COUNTY

A young Marion County man was killed in an Automobile accident Monday afernoon
around 3 p.m.

Steven Blake Griffis , age 23, lost his life in an accident at Highway 355 and 
Pineknot Loop that involved two vechiles.

The Georgia State Patrol had not filed the official report at the deadline for 
this week's newpaper and further details were not available.
