From Tazewell

On Tuesday morning last at 9:45 o’clock Willie Gunnels breathed his last.  He 
had been sick with pneumonia, followed by pleurisy, for eight long weeks less 
one day.  His remains were interred in the cemetery here on Wednesday at eleven 
o’clock, with Alliance honors.  He leaves a mother, sister and little brother, 
besides a host of friends to mourn his loss.  We tender our heartfelt sympathy 
to the relatives and friends in their bereavement.  Death is but a fleeting 
shadow.  A dark cloud of a moment, and all is brightness.
