Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Buena Vista on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 2:00PM with Rev. Harold Grimsley officiating. Visitation will begin in the church at 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Cemetery. Ann was born Feb 10, 1954 to Carlton and Emily Hagler of Buena Vista, GA. She grew up in Buena Vista, and was raised in First Baptist Church of Buena Vista where she was baptized at an early age. She attended Marion County Elementary and High School, where she was an outstanding high school basketball player. She attended Wesleyan College and then completed training as a Radiological Technologist in 1975. She worked at The Medical Center and Hughston Hospital and then Whatley-Goldsmith Orthopedics for some 20 years, but then returned to Buena Vista to care for her parents in their final years. She was employed at Marion County Schools for several years before working at AFLAC in Columbus until her health forced her into disability retirement. Ann is predeceased by her parents and by a brother, Richard Hagler. She is survived her brothers, Dr. James R. Hagler (Kay) and Charles Hagler (Sally) of Buena Vista, Ga, sister in law Tasca Hagler of Columbus, Ga, nephews Dr. James Hagler Jr. (Amy) of Cochran, Ga. and Carlton Hagler (Harlowe) of Seattle, Washington, nieces, Jennifer Brandon (Howard) of Madison, Ga., Meredith Bryan (Adam) of Fortson, Ga, Devan Hagler (Tyler Croft) of St. Simons Island, Ga. and great nephews and nieces Sydney Rose Sandoval, Raleigh Hagler, Anna-Kay Hagler, Evie Brandon and Jayce Bryan; her close friend Patty Norman (Steve) who was like a sister to her; and cousins Roswell Parker, Jr. (Cheryl) of Macon, GA and Lisa Johannsen (Bob) of Brunswick, GA.
