Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Buena Vista United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Akin officiating. Burial will follow the service in Buena Vista Cemetery. The family will greet friends at Watson-Tante Funeral Home on Sunday, May 14, 2017, from 5:00-7:00PM. Mrs. Hanner was born August 8, 1926, in Tazewell, GA, to Joseph Oliver Wells and Dicie Wall. She was a member of Buena Vista United Methodist Church where she was involved in various church committees including serving as a past President of the Methodist Women. Mrs. Hanner had worked as a para-pro for the Marion County School System for many years. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alto Hanner, Jr., two brothers and six sisters. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Martha Hanner of McDonough, GA; by two daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy Haulk and Marie and Ricky McCorkle, all of Buena Vista, GA; by two sisters, Peggy King of Fayetteville, GA, and Betty Jean Able of Fitzgerald, GA; a brother-in-law, Cecil Hanner of Columbus, GA; six grandchildren, Philip Hanner (Heather), Stephanie Bidgoly (Ben), Kevin Haulk (Claire), Jeremy Haulk (Kim Heim), Jenny Gibbo (Stuart), and Richard McCorkle (Shelee); and six great-grandchildren, Savannah Stephenson, Mali Bidgoly , Nathaniel Haulk, Rebecca Haulk, Millie McCorkle, and Livie McCorkle.
