Herring MAY 29, 1942 ~ AUGUST 6, 2018 (AGE 76) Mrs. Carole Ann Herring, 76, of Perry, GA passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018, at The Medical Center of Central Georgia Navicent Health in Macon, GA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Tazewell United Methodist Church with Rev. Joy Wilson and Joey Wells officiating. Burial will follow the service in Tazewell Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Wells, Randy Hauk, Jerry Nelson, Summer Herring, Tiffaney Cogburn, and Bobby Busby. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 5:00-7:00pm. Mrs. Herring was born May 29, 1942, in Washington, D. C. to John Ernest and Mary Ellen Griffith Will. She had been employed at Magnolia Manor as a maintenance worker. A member of Tazewell United Methodist Church, Mrs. Herring would do anything for anyone. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and an avid animal lover who has gained her wings and flown free. She is survived by her husband, Bill Herring of Perry, GA; by four daughters, Robin and Bobby Busby of Clayton, NC, Patricia Bailey of Macon, GA, Valerie Herring of Ft. Valley, GA, and Summer Herring of Coxs Creek, KY; two brothers, David Will of Savannah, GA, and James Allen Wilkerson of Maryland; five grandchildren, Tiffaney and Joe Cogburn, Randy Hauk, Joshua Bailey, Autumn Bailey, and Aiden Parks; and six great-grandchildren, Zoie Decker, Madyson Decker, Dysan Hauk, Jace Hauk, Lillian Bailey, and Kora Hontz. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Tazewell United Methodist Church or Relay for Life – Tazewell Team.
