Tante  Funeral Home   August 2008
James Frank Hobbs, 71, of Charing, GA, died Saturday morning, August 2, 2008, 
at Flint River Community Hospital in Montezuma, GA.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, August 4, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at 
Tazewell United Methodist Church with Reverend John Homer officiating. Burial 
followed in Bloodsworth Cemetery in Charing, GA.

Mr. Hobbs was born May 21, 1937, in Taylor County to James Otha and Clara 
Launa Hurtt Hobbs.  He was self-employed and former owner of H & H Garage in 
Butler, GA. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and had been attending 
Tazewell United Methodist Church. A faithful church member, he never missed a 
Sunday. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three 
brothers, Walter C. Hobbs, Aeneas Hobbs, and Jerry Hobbs, and by one sister, 
Mary Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Jansa Dobson Hobbs, a son, Benjamin Stucki and 
wife Linda, of El Paso, TX; three brothers, Jack and Mary Hobbs of Phenix 
City, AL, Sonny Hobbs of Butler, GA, Herman and Nancy Hobbs of Woodbury, GA; 
three sisters, Margie Boyt and Joy and Phillip Corley, all of Thomaston, GA, 
and Theresa and Jeff Waddell of Woodbury, GA; and a sister-in-law, Billie 
Dodson, of Columbus, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Tante Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Serving as active 
pallbearers were James Barfield, Tim Bodrey, Frank Catrett, Donald Allen, 
Phillip Corley, Jeff Waddell, Vince Adams, and Harry Hobbs.
