HOLT, CECIL
Mr. Holt was born August 15, 1918 in Tazewell, GA to Obie and Dovie Carson 
Holt.  He married Lee Alice Mathis and they moved to Delray Beach, FL.  There, 
they had 3 children: Mary Alice Holt, Lois Holt of Buena Vista, GA and Glenn 
Holt (deceased).  He worked for Calloway Construction then became a self-
employed painter.  
Mr. Holt died May 11, 1991.  
Funeral for Mr. Holt was held Saturday, May 18, 1991 at Mt Olive Baptist 
Church in Tazewell, GA; Reverend J R Oglesby officiated.   Burial in Mt Olive 
Baptist Church Cemetery.  His survivors include his wife, his daughters: Mary 
Alice (Maud)  Blue of Swedesboro, NJ, Lois (Charles) Bishop of Delray Beach, 
FL, Julia Ann and her husband Reverend Edward Bellamy of Pompano Beach, FL. 4 
step-daughters, Bernice of Latana, FL, Captain Essie Mae (US Army, Italy), 
Edna LaFrance of Americus, GA, Alice Mae of Atlanta, GA; 2 step-sons Benjamin 
and Jerry of Americus; 2 sisters, Rosella (Charles, deceased) Sanford, of 
Tazewell, GA, Mary Lee (Charles) Gibson of Atlanta, GA; 5 brothers; Eugene 
Holt, Bishop Murray Holt and Robert (Magnolia) Holt of Delray Beach, FL, Roy 
(Mary Jane) Holt, Willie Clemon (Norice) Holt (deceased); sister-in-law Sallie 
B Oliver of Americus, GA; aunt, Stella Holmes of Birmingham, AL; 14 
grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren Harvey Stephens, Jr., of Delray Beach,
