Local News

Miss Nannie Hood, the old lady who has been for some years with Dr. Weaver’s 
family looking after the children, died suddenly Monday night between 10 and 11 
o’clock.  She was as well as usual when she retired.  In the night Dr. Weaver 
heard a noise in her room and Mrs. Weaver went in to see what was the trouble.  
In a few moments she called the doctor, but the old lady died in a few minutes 
after.  The funeral took place at 10:30 o’clock Tuesday morning and she was 
laid to rest in the Methodist cemetery.
