In Memory of Mrs. Susie Hobbs

On Sunday evening, September 22nd, 1889, as the sun was sinking in the west the 
angels came and bore her to that peaceful land where sorrow shall never enter.  
She leaves a husband and little babe, a mother, two sisters, several brothers 
and many friends to mourn her loss.  She was a kind and affectionate wife and 
loving sister.  She professed religion and joined the M.E. church on her dying 
bed.  She passed away leaving us to rejoice in the blessed hope that she has 
passed from earth to that quiet morning to enter into the rest that remains for 
the people of God.  Farewell, sweet Susie!  It makes our hearts ache to part 
with one who was so kind, believing that her last days were the happiest, and 
that she is now wearing the crown of life prepared for her.  She said her way 
was shining bright, and we only hope that we will meet her some sweet day by 
and by.  She passed away with sweet songs of the heavenly home upon her lips.
