Tante Funeral Home  December 2007
Vickie Lynn Adams Ivey, 52, of Cusseta, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 11, 
2007 in Columbus, Georgia.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 3 p.m. at Bethany 
Freewill Baptist Church in Box Springs, Georgia, with Reverend Ruble 
Youngblood officiating. Music was provided by Melissa Gray. Interment followed 
in the Juniper Cemetery. 

Mrs. Ivey was born February 27, 1955 in Chattahoochee County and was raised by 
Donald Sawyer and Peggy O’Neal Bullard Sawyer. She lived in Mauk for twenty 
years and had resided in Cusseta for the past year. She was Baptist by faith 
and was a member of Bethany Freewill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and 
enjoyed crafting. She was an all around good mother and grandmother and will 
be remembered for her wonderful cooking. She was preceded in death by her 
father Donald Sawyer.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Ivey is survived by her husband of 28 years, 
Bruce Anthony Ivey; a son, Samuel Norman Bearden and a daughter, Jessica Lynn 
Ivey, all of Cusseta, Georgia; a brother, Walter Sawyer of Atlanta, Georgia; 
three sisters, Teresa and Kelley McAllister of Buena Vista, Melissa and Allen 
Gray of Columbus, Georgia, and Donna Tanner of Cocoa Beach, Florida; and a 
grandson, Kameron Ivey. An uncle, Hugh Bullard and an aunt, Lois Hack, both of 
Columbus, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements.
