LeRoy A. Jester Dead

Mr. LeRoy A. Jester died at his home in the western part of this county 
Thursday morning, Nov. 24th, of pneumonia, after a very short illness.  Mr. 
Jester had been feeling badly several days previous to his illness, but made a 
trip to Columbus and it is said that he got wet on this trip.  He went possum 
hunting the night after he returned from Columbus, and the next morning he had 
to take his bed.  He was sick only a few days before he died.

Mr. Jester was one of the most honest and upright citizens in the county, and 
in his death the people in his section have lost a good neighbor, the wife a 
devoted husband and the children and indulgent father.

His remains were buried at Union church last Friday and a large number of his 
friends were present to pay their last sad rites to the remains of a good man.

The family have the sympathy of the Patriot in their bereavement.
