Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Buena Vista with Reverend Chris Hess and Reverend Mark Chandler officiating. Music was provided by Judy Wells and Mark Taylor. Pallbearers were Danny Pope, Dr. Jimmy Hagler, Charles Clements, III, Jimmy Howell, Gary Morgan and Butch McMikle. Honorary pallbearers were Ron Hinze, William Thompson, Judy Wells, Roberto (Rod) Rodriquez, Carolyn Taylor, Edna Pope and Ann Howell. Burial followed immediately in the Fort Mitchell Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Alabama. The family received friends at Tante Funeral Home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Kazmin was born October 27, 1925 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Donald H. and Evelyn L. Chase Rayburn. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her sister Sally Hintze; by her brother Donald Rayburn; and by her grandson Peter Nordal. Before moving to Buena Vista from Columbus in 1973, she worked as a dental therapist at the Fort Benning Dental Clinic. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buena Vista serving as a Deacon, Secretary of the Baptist Women and a Sunday School Teacher. She was also the Chair of Marion County Broad of Registrars, the librarian at the Marion County Library, a member of the Library Board and served as president and secretary of the Georgia Dental Assistants Association. In addition, she frequently volunteered at the Nursing Home and was a Meals-on-Wheels volunteer. Survivors include her husband of over 50 years, John C. Kazmin; three sons: Tom Miller and wife Sylvia of Graniteville, South Carolina, John Kazmin and wife Kim of Fort Meyers, Florida and Tony Kazmin and fiancé Tanya Mikeals of Sumterville, Flordia; two daughters, Dr. Katherine Nordal of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Kelly Jones and husband Danny of Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren: Brandon Jones, Ashley Jones, Sarah Jones, Lacey Miller, Kristie Trudeau, Karrie Trudeau, Stephanie Kazmin and Natalie Kazmin; one niece Patti Williams and husband Fred of Toronto, Ohio; and one nephew Bill Hintze and wife Sue of Fort Collins, Colorado.
