Obituary

Mr. Charles Amos Kemp, 72, of Tallahassee, Fl. passed away on Wed., October 8, 
2014. He was born on July 25, 1942 in Buena Vista, Georgia to parents Douglas 
and Lula Kemp. Charles was a Woodyard Foreman for the International Paper Co. in 
Pascagoula, MS and was also a Security Officer (BAA) at Heathrow Airport in the 
UK for many years. Charles obtained his degree in Agriculture from Berry College 
in Mt. Berry, Ga. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed fishing.
From 1965-1971 Charles served in the US Air Force, and was a Medical Admin. 
Specialist (SGT). It was while he was stationed at South Ruislip Air Force Base 
in England that he met his beloved wife, Ann Pryde Kemp. Charles really enjoyed 
traveling, and England had a special place in his heart. He treasured his family 
and found great joy in the time they spent together. 

Survivors include his sons, Jason (Suzi) Kemp of Tallahassee, Fl., and Ashley 
(Fiancée: Sarah Andrews) of London; sister, Karen Wilcher of Athens, Ga., and 
his grandson, Zane Kemp. He is preceded in death by his wife Ann (1995), and 
brothers, Leon and Ed Kemp, and Adelaide Saldanha, whom he shared his life with 
from 1997 until her passing in 2003. 
A Celebration of his life will be held in Buena Vista, Ga on 10/17/2014 at a 
private gathering of family and friends. If you would like further details,
