James “Larry” Kirby, age 45, of Buena Vista, Georgia,  died Monday, June 22, 
2009 at Sumter Regional Hospital in Americus, Georgia.	

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carmel 
Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Smith officiating.  Burial followed at Mt. 
Carmel Cemetery.  The family received friends at Tante Funeral Home on 
Wednesday evening.

Mr. Kirby was born August 4, 1963, the son of Macie Storey and the late James 
N. Kirby.  He had lived in Buena Vista all of his life and was a truck driver 
for a logging company.  He was baptist by faith.

Survivors include his wife, Lee Ann Kirby of Buena Vista, GA;  his mother, 
Macie Storey of Buena Vista,  Father-in-law, Jimmie Moore of Georgetown, GA; a 
son, Jeffery Kirby of Baltimore, Maryland; a step-son, Clint Parnacott of 
Americus, GA;  Brothers, Jerry Kirby (Tina) of Preston, GA.; Gary Kirby 
(Tabby), Buena Vista; Tony Kirby (Brenda) Andersonville, GA.;  Brothers-in-
law, Mike Moore (Kim)  Eufaula, AL, and Greg Cherry of Orlando, FL; Sisters, 
Gina Revette (Harold) of Ellaville, Ga., Rita Yanez (Michael) of 
Andersonville, GA. Sister-in-law Pam Grover (Bob) of Phenix City, AL; and one 
granddaughter, Mia Kirby of Columbus, GA.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia was in charge of arrangements with 
Dustin Kirby, Kyle Kirby, Michael Kirby, Gerald Kirby, Lee Barnes, James 
Barnes and Jonathan Barnes as pallbearers.
