Gerald Wayne Kirby, 30, of Buena Vista, Georgia, died Saturday, July 26, 2014, 
at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014, at 3:30PM in the 
Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home. Reverend Raymond Smith will officiate the 
service.

Gerald was born August 31, 1983, in Columbus, Georgia, to Jerry Wayne Kirby 
and Tina Hendon Kirby. He loved life and was kind hearted. He loved fishing 
and had been employed in landscaping. He was preceded in death by his maternal 
grandparents, Francis Hendon and Samuel E. Hendon, by a paternal grandfather, 
James Kirby and by great-grandparents Louis Guice Lyles and Margaret Eva Lyles.

He is survived by his mother, Tina Kirby of Buena Vista, GA; his father, Jerry 
and Cindy Kirby of Bracey, VA; by his grandmother Macie Storey; by a sister, 
Robin and Michael Hamby of Phenix City, AL; by a niece, Selah Hamby, and by a 
step-brother, C. J. Rice of Susanville, CA. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins 
and other family also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
