Rev. Steen Jack Leaman July 10, 1958- February 7, 2007 BUENA VISTA, GA— Rev. Jack Leaman, 48, of Buena Vista, GA. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Tazewell Baptist Church with burial at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Marion County, GA. Rev. Sam Allen and Rev. David Chapman will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, February 9, 2007 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Tante Funeral Home, Buena Vista, GA. or you may visit at his home. Jack was born July 10, 1958 in San Francisco, CA. to Larry and Hanne Favors. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was previously employed as a policeman in Buena Vista, GA. and was retired from the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles and as director of Marion County EMS. At the time of his death, he was the pastor of Tazewell Baptist Church. Jack was always known for his involvement in many community endeavors. Other than his parents, Larry and Hanne Favors and Jan Leaman, he is survived by his wife, Leona Fontaine Leaman; daughter, Tiffany Bullard (Bryan); son, Branndon Turner (Lauren); sisters, Stephanie Favors, Laura Sullivan (Frank); Anita Williams; grandchildren, Joshua Bullard and Jacob Bullard; nieces and nephews; Emily Fontaine "Sweetheart", Brandi Miller, Hannah and Luke Pomeroy, Simeon Favors, Isaac Sullivan, Zachary and Lily Pevitt; in laws, Ramona and Charles Alvis, Ray and Cherryl Fontaine, Marshall and Sherry Fontaine, Michelle and John Pevitt, Mike and Denise Jones. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Favors. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Tazewell Baptist Church or New Providence Baptist Church Benevolence Fund. Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista in charge of arrangements with Stuart O'Hearn, Sonny Thomaston, Tony Harris, Terry Baxley, Allen Scott, Rusty Lewis, Warren Scribner, and Dr. Alluri Raju serving as pallbearers.
