James Gordon Lowe June 2, 1917- September 25, 2007 BUENA VISTA, GA— James 
Gordon Lowe, 90, of Buena Vista, GA died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at St. 
Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. A graveside funeral service will be held 
Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Buena Vista Cemetery with Rev. 
John Yarborough and Rev. Chris Hess officiating. Honorary pallbearers are 
Horace Snider, Lee Mullins, Chris Jordan, Bob Webb, Sims Benson, Billy 
Bickerstaff, Mulkey McMichael, Charles Clements III, Bubba McCorkle, Gary 
Wells, Bump Welch, Mickey Welch, and the Deacons of the First Baptist Church in 
Buena Vista. Mr. Lowe was born June 2, 1917 in Marion County where he lived all 
his life.. . Mr. Lowe was the son of the late James Gordon and Dovie Clements 
Lowe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jean 
Martin Lowe and by two sisters Sarah Francis Taux and Martha Lowe Colyer. Mr. 
Lowe is survived by two sons, James Gordon "Jay" Lowe and John Clements Lowe, 
both of Buena Vista; by a daughter Sarah "Sally" Lowe Marsh and her husband 
Dave of Columbus; by a caregiver Katie Mae Smith of Buena Vista; and by a 
number of nieces and nephews. Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista is in charge of 
arrangements.
