Betty Louise Norrell McClellan, 69, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, March 25, 
2008, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus.
Graveside services were held on Friday, March 28, 2008, at Parkhill Cemetery 
in Columbus at 2 p.m. with Reverend A. R. Curlee and REverend John Sanes 
officiating.
Mrs. McClellan was born October 10, 1938, in Tallapoosa County, Al, to the 
late Joe and Bessie Howard Norrell. Coming from Columbus in 1979, she had 
resided in Marion County for the past 19 years. She was employed by the Marion 
County Board of Education as a school bus driver. She was also a member of the 
Oakland Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death 
by her husband, Thomas Mickey McClellan, five brothers, Leonard Norrell, 
Jackie Norrell, Milford Norrell, Melvin Norrell, and Willie Joe Norrell, and 
two sisters, Savannah Hall and Lois Tillery.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Thomas Michael and Joanie 
McClellan, and Harold Mark and Anita McClellan, one daughter an her husband, 
Gail and Ricky Simmons all of Buena Vista; by two brothers, Larry and Barbara 
Norrell of Phenix City, AL and Donny and IRis Norrell of Carthage, MO; ny two 
brothers-in-law, Perry McClellan and Ernest Hall; by two sisters-in-law, 
Shirley Norrell of Columbus, GA, and Eleanor Olinger of Winder, GA. Five 
grandchildren, Darla Braxton, Crystal Simmons, Aaron McClellan, Danny 
Atkinson, and Danielle McClellan as well as six great-grandchildren also 
survive.
Tante Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements with John Braxton, Randal 
Welch, Danny Atkinson, Aaron McClellan, Dylan McClellan, and Tim Norrel 
serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Mrs. McClellan's grat-
grandchildren, Christian Atkinson, Blake Atkinson, Chase McClellan, Haley 
McClellan, Summer McClellan, and Sophia Hasley
