Agnes Sellars McCorkle, age 83, of Buena Vista, Georgia died Monday, March 30, 
2009, at the Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 2, 2009, 11:00 AM at the Chapel of 
Tante Funeral Home, Buena Vista, Georgia with Rev. David Ellis and Rev.Graton 
Helms officiating.  Burial followed in Hopewell Cemetery, Schley County.  
Serving as pallbearers were Matt Unwin, Andrew McCorkle, Simon McCorkle, Jim 
Sellars, Ben Sellars and Will Sellars. The family received friends at Tante 
Funeral Home on Wednesday evening.

Mrs. McCorkle was born December 13, 1925, in Schley County, the daughter of 
Willie Russell Sellers and Katie Lee Harvey Sellars.  She had lived in Buena 
Vista most of her life and was a member of Tazewell Baptist Church where she 
was the pianist for several years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and 
friend to all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Russell 
Sellars and Katie Harvey Sellars, and a brother, Russell Sellars.

Survivors include her son Kris McCorkle and wife Dinah of Buena Vista, 
daughters, Cassie Unwin and husband Bob of Lake Harding, Alabama, Jan  Stubbs 
and husband David of Upatoi, Georgia, brother, Henry Sellars and wife Mitt of 
Ellaville, Grandchildren, Matt Unwin, Andrew McCorkle, Hope McCorkle (Chris) 
and Simon McCorkle. Two Great-Grandchildren, Ryan McCorkle and Aspen McCorkle 
also survive.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements
