Barbara Anne McCorkle (Brown)
January 4, 1933 ~ January 19, 2016 (age 83)

Mrs. Barbara Anne McCorkle, 83, of Cobb, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 
2016, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 22, 2016, in the 
Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Elder Dennis Johnson officiating. 
Burial will follow the service New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The 
family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 to 2 PM before 
the service.  Pallbearers will be Paul McCorkle, Terry Clark, Jeff Clark, Lance 
Richards, Niles Sikking, Devin Hughes, Josh Aull and Josh Bragdon.

Mrs. McCorkle was born January 4, 1933, in Columbus, GA, to Wiley Winston Brown 
and Genell Newbourn Brown.  She was a member of Lakeview Freewill Baptist Church 
and had been employed as a secretary by Chattahoochee-Flint RESA.  Mrs. McCorkle 
loved sewing and flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death 
by her husband, Jesse Riner McCorkle.

She is survived by three sons, Kevin and Kim McCorkle and Jesse Jr. and Jan 
McCorkle, all of Cobb, GA, and Winston Hall of Webster, FL; by a daughter 
Deborah and Loyce Clark of Lake Blackshear, GA; three sisters, Maxine Slattery 
of Columbus, GA, Grace and Fred Butler of Ocala, FL, and Sherry Brown of 
Jonesboro, GA; and three loving caretakers, Rhonda Holmes, Peggy Mullis, and 
Ruth Dennison; 5 grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren and 1 great-great 
grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research 
Hospital, P.O. Box 2151, Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
