Nellie Cook McCorkle July 28, 1910 - November 23, 2009 BUENA VISTA, GA— Nellie 
Cook McCorkle, age 99, of Buena Vista, GA, died Monday, November 23, 2009, at 
St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 
November 25, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at New Providence Baptist Church with Rev. 
David Chapman and Rev. John Homer officiating. Burial will follow in New 
Providence Cemetery.  Mrs. McCorkle was born July 28, 1910, the daughter of 
the late Clarence and Leila Mae Cook. She had lived in Marion County all of 
her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 
husband, George McCorkle, a daughter, Joyce Riberon, and 10 brothers and 
sisters. Survivors include her daughter Gayle Miller and B.S. "Pop" Miller of 
Buena Vista, GA; a son-in-law, Troy Riberon and Rally of Homerville, GA; four 
grandchildren, Becky Miller Powell and Alton of Buena Vista, GA, Patsy Miller 
Roberts and Bill of Pine Mountain, GA, Troy Riberon, III of Atlanta, GA, David 
Riberon of Valdosta, GA; and two great-grandchildren, Clint Powell and Kinsey 
Powell of Buena Vista, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Tante 
Funeral Home of Buena Vista is in charge of arrangements with Ferrell Cook, 
Bobby Cook, Don Cook, Laura Cook, C. R. McCorkle, and Kay Cosey serving as 
pallbearers. Memorials may be made to New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery 
Fund.
