Johnny V. “Bud” Miller, 79, of Buena Vista, GA, died Thursday, January 10, 
2013, at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, GA.
 
A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Buena 
Vista Cemetery with Reverend Bruce Vaughn officiating.  The family will 
receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-8pm.
 
Mr. Miller was born June 12, 1933, in Marion County, to Johnnie T. and Lillie 
Curlee Miller. Methodist by faith, he was a member of Brantley United 
Methodist Church. He served in the Army and had been self-employed as a 
Barber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, 
Dixie Moore.
 
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Alan and Sharon Miller of 
Ellaville, GA, and Keith Miller of Buena Vista, GA; by a special friend, Joyce 
Henson of Buena Vista, GA; by 3 brothers, Thomas and Linda Miller and Brick 
S. “Pop” and Gayle Miller all of Buena Vista, GA, Ronnie and Betty Moore of 
Woodstock, GA; by 3 sisters, Doris Ward of Americus, GA, Ruth Rush of Plains, 
GA, and Mary Mitchell of Zephyr Hills, FL.  2 Grandchildren, Andy Miller and 
Jilliann and Dusty Williams and 1 Great-Granddaughter, Ellie Louise Williams, 
also survive.
 
Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these 
arrangements.
