Preston, GA - Kaleb Preacher Monkus, infant son of Walter Keith and Pamela 
Sizemore Monkus died Friday, September 14, 2007 at Children’s Healthcare of 
Atlanta at Egleston. 

A graveside funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 
at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Webster County with Reverend Charles 
Leverett and Mr. Michael McDowell officiating. The family received friends 
Monday, September 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Richland, GA.

Kaleb was born on July 19, 2007 in Albany, GA.  He was preceded in death by 
two brothers, Walter Kolin Monkus and Tybious Walter Monkus and by great-
grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Harris of Richland, GA and Zack “Preacher” 
Monkus of Preston, GA.

Survivors other than his parents are a sister, Tapanga Monkus; grandparents, 
Michael T. “Ponytail” and Samantha “Bambi” McDowell of Butler, GA, William and 
Betty Jo Monkus of Preston, Joseph Sizemore of Preston; great-grandparents 
Versie Monkus and John and Bonnie Sizemore, all of Preston and Ben and Dianna 
Stewart of Georgetown, GA; and aunts and uncles, Amy Vundivalley, Robert and 
Brenda Fullman, Adam and Sammy Bell and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Monkus. Several 
great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins also survive.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements.
