Mr. Mike Lamar Moon, 75, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away Sunday, March 06, 2016, 
at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 11, 2016, at Community 
Chapel Church of Pine Mountain Valley with Rev. Ricky Lipp officiating.  Burial 
will follow the service at Pine Mountain Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The 
family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 10, 2016, from 
6-8pm.

Mr. Moon was born June 11, 1940, in Harris County, GA, to Hewlett and Myrdie 
Reynolds Moon. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Pine Mountain Valley 
Baptist Church. He was self-employed and was a member of the Lion’s Club, the 
Greater Columbus Home Builder’s Association, the Sherriff’s Association, 
Kentucky Colonel, and Jaycee’s. Mr. Moon enjoyed gospel music, his dogs and 
work. He loved his family and telling stories.

He is survived by Rose Moon, of Upatoi, GA, Britton Moon and wife Angela Lynn 
and Kenneth Moon all of Buena Vista, GA, Martha Lynn Moon McAllister and husband 
Donald David of Buena Vista, GA, Jonathan Giles and wife Courtney of Upatoi, GA, 
and Marcus A. Miller of Buena Vista, GA, Suzannah Jones and husband Dylan of 
Albuquerque, NM, Maynell Connor of Phenix City, AL, Wendy Noonan and husband Pat 
of Buena Vista, GA,Sunni Lynn McAllister, Skyler David McAllister, Mike Alden 
Moon, Robert Nathaniel Moon, James Giles, Lucas Jones, Liam Jones, Trent Miller, 
and Taner Miller.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these 
arrangements.
