Clayre Singleton Moore, 66, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at her residence.

Celebration of life services for Mary Clayre Moore of Buena Vista will be held 
Friday, June 7 at 11:00am from the sanctuary of Buena Vista United Methodist 
Church. Rev. Mark Chandler will officiate and music will be provided by Brenda 
Humber and Patty Wade. A private family gathering will be held graveside at 
10:30am to honor Clayre. 

Ms. Moore was born December 3, 1946, to O. N. and Mary McGarrah Singleton. A 
retired educator, Mrs. Moore taught throughout Georgia and around the world as 
an Air Force wife of the late Richard D. Moore. Mrs. Moore's belief in the 
importance of reading and a good education challenged many lives.

Clayre is survived by a daughter, Mary Susan Moore of Atlanta, a son, Richard 
D. Moore, Jr. of Columbus and first cousin Mulkey McMichael. A host of other 
cousins and family also mourn her passing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buena Vista Methodist Church, 
Perry Wellness Center of Americus or another life-improving organization.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these 
arrangements.
