Funeral services will be held Sunday, September, 2007 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Tante Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA with Reverend John Homer officiating. Music will be provided by Joyce Kahler. Pallbearers will be Mike Springer, Glen Coleman, Harry Franklin, Bob Stone, Jeff Wilks and Vincent Weed. Honorary pallbearer will be Drew Weed. Burial will follow immediately in the Pine Level Cemetery in Taylor County. The family will receive friends at Tante Funeral Home one hour before the service. Mrs. Morgan was born in Marion County, Georgia on February 13, 1911, the daughter of John W. and Lula O'Hearn Quinn. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband John William Morgan; by her sister Thelma Weed; by her brothers Leonard Quinn, Clinton Quinn, Houston Quinn and Cecil Quinn; and by her son-in-law Jesse Springer. She lived in Marion County all her life, was Methodist by faith and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Box Springs. She loved her family dearly and her family returned that love. She liked to play the keyboard and played and sang Christian songs with her pretty voice. She never spent a whole day in the hospital. Survivors include three daughters, Carol Springer of Opelika, Alabama, Yevone Blythe and husband Talmadge of Columbus, and Faye Morgan of Box Springs; a special friend who was like a daughter, Daph Golden of Box Springs; grandchildren Jan Springer of Opelika, Mike Springer of Salem, Alabama, and Cynthia Coleman and husband Glen of Columbus; sisters-in-law Juanita Quinn, Adrid Quinn and Sara Ann Morgan, all of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
