Joseph Nagy, 82, of Buena Vista, GA, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at his 
residence. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Mr. Nagy was born October 20, 1926, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, to Jonas 
and Anna Pfaff Nagy. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a PGA 
Golf Professional. Coming from Pennsylvania, he had been living in Schley 
County for the past 24 years. He was Protestant by faith. Joe graduated from 
New Brighten High School class of 1945 and attended Pitt & Geneva College for 
3 ˝ years before leaving to become a Golf Pro at Indiana Country Club in 
Indiana, Pennsylvania for 30 years. He was a life member of The Professional 
Golfer’s Association of America as well as a life member of the Elks #931, 
American Legion. He moved to Georgia to run Cedar Creek Golf Course.  In 
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Juhasz of 
California, and by a brother, Alex Nagy of Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Lena Geiyer Nagy of Buena Vista, GA; two sons, 
Joseph A. Nagy and wife Debi of Buena Vista, and Timothy R. Nagy and wife Fran 
of Birmingham, AL; a daughter, Deborah L. Nagy and husband Lou Bellman of 
Indiana, PA; a niece, Barbara Kunzman of Yorba Linda, CA. Four Grandchildren, 
Jennifer Anderson, Scott Anderson, Joey Nagy, and Matt Nagy and four step-
grandchildren also survive.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA, was in charge of arrangements.
