He had been sick for some time with fever and was improving, and the immediate cause of his death was from collapse following severe hemorrhage from the nose. Being weak from sickness he could not overcome the collapse following the loss of so much blood. No better or more noble hearted boy than Marshall was ever reared in this county. He was generous and warm-hearted to a degree that commanded admiration, and his departure from this life will be sensibly felt not only by his family but by friends. He was a member of the Baptist church and a good Christian young man whose exemplary life is worthy of emulation. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn their loss. His remains were laid to rest at Providence church Saturday and a large number of relatives and friends were present. We are glad to note that he had his life insured for $1,000, and while this will not amenorate the pangs of sorrow it will help the living.
