BUENA VISTA --- Mildred Boyette Brock O’Hearn, 90, passed away Saturday August 
8, 2015, at Magnolia Manor of Marion County.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at New 
Providence Baptist Church with Rev. David Chapman officiating.  Burial will 
follow the service at Tazewell Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the 
funeral home on Monday, August 10, 2015, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

Mrs. O’Hearn was born October 11, 1924, in Sumter County, to William Newton and 
Bessie Davis Brock. She was Baptist by faith and was a member of New Providence 
Baptist Church.  Mrs. O’Hearn had worked as a seamstress at Manhattan Shirt 
Factory, Spilene and Playtex. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, and watching her 
grandchildren play baseball. Mrs. O’Hearn was a big Atlanta Braves fan. In 
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest 
O’Hearn and by her siblings.

She is survived by two sons, Stuart and Paula O’Hearn of Waleska, GA, and Cliff 
and Mitzi O’Hearn of Griffin, GA; by three daughters, Brenda Ogletree of St. 
Augustine, FL, Barbara and Buddy Powell of Buena Vista, GA, and Catherine and 
Stanley Goodroe of Buena Vista, GA; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
