Owl June 14, 1937 — March 25, 2023 Buena Vista, GA Evelyn K. Owl Ms. Evelyn K. Jones Owl, 85, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA. No services are planned at this time. Ms. Owl was born in Thomaston, GA, on June 14, 1937, to John Paul Jones and Vera Pearl Hall Anthony. One of ten children, she was a twin to Alvin. Ms. Owl was a strong willed, loving mother and grandmother. She cared about her children and was willing to help and care for others. Ms. Owl loved to dance and was known by her co-workers as “Red” for her red hair and as “Mamaw” to her grandchildren who she adored. She loved the lord. Before moving to Georgia, she worked with electronics in St. Petersburg, FL and prior to her retirement, she was employed with Tyson Foods as an Inspector. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Lewis, by two grandsons. Jeremiah Taylor and Jamie Bloodworth, by three brothers, Cecil Jones, her twin Alvin Jones, and James Anthony, and by three sisters, Mary J. Sullivan, Majorie Baker, and Brenda Anthony. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Shirley P. Bloodworth of Woodland, GA, Sheila M. Bloxom of Crawford, AL, and Kim Taylor (Joey) of Buena Vista, GA; a brother, Thomas Anthony of Clearwater, FL; two sisters, Wanda Faye Irving of Mauk, GA, and Martha Anthony of Griffin, GA; seven grandchildren, Jason Bloodworth, Stephen Lewis, Jr., Joey Lee Lewis, Joshua Howard, Justin Barrow, Kasey Jo Taylor, and Zachary Taylor; great-grandchildren, Katelin Bloodworth, Kelsie Bloodworth, Hunter Bloodworth, Taylor Bloodworth, Haley Bloodworth, Jackson Howard, Nathan Howard, Haley Barrow, Hannah Barrow, and Harley Barrow, Liza Taylor, Lainey Taylor, and Landen Taylor.
