Personal Items

The death of Eugene Drane Dunham, the five-year-old son of Judge J.J. Dunham 
and wife, on Tuesday of last week, was one of the saddest occurrences that ever 
happened in Marion County.  Eugene was a boy of unusual promise and his 
untimely death was a severe blow to his parents who idolized him.  His remains 
were interred at the Methodist cemetery, services being conducted by Rev. Hugh 
Oliver.  Judge and Mrs. Dunham have a host of friends who sympathize with them 
in this their hour of grief. – Marion County Patriot
