Americus Weekly Times - Recorder dated June 5, 1913 
Ellaville was saddened last Saturday by the announcement of the death of Mr. 
P. H. Stevens of Putnam.  Mr. Stevens was more than eighty years old, and was 
well and favorably known to all of our citizens.  He had always taken an 
active interest in religious matters and stood for all that helped to make the 
world better.  He is survived by his aged wife and a large number of children 
and grandchildren.  His remains were interred at Putnam Sunday afternoon, Rev. 
R. M. Rustin officiating.  

Additional Comments:
Putnam is buried in the Stevens-Munro Cemetery near the Marion/Schley county 
line.
