DEATH OF MR. STEPHENS
Mr. Hurt Stephens, after an illness of several weeks duration, died at the 
home of his parents, at Putnam, on last Friday.  Mr. Stephens was the eldest 
son of Mr. and Mrs. P.S. Stephens being fifty years old at the time of his 
death.  For many years he was post master and Depot agent at Putnam, which 
position he held to the entire satisfaction of a large number of Patrons and 
friends.
