Montgomery, near Norwich Sunday night Nov. 19th. She was in the 73rd year of her age and upon retiring Sunday night was seemingly in her usual good health, but Monday morning her body was found to be cold and lifeless. The candle ceased to burn and the light went out without warning. She was the mother of three surviving children, S.T. and S.R. Montgomery and Mrs. J.J. Youngblood. The remains were laid to rest at Pine Level cemetery Tuesday morning, Rev. Mr. Robinson conducting the burial service. The Butler Herald Tuesday, December 5, 1911 Page One Death of Mrs. Vincent Montgomery of Marion County On Monday Nov. the 20th at the home of Mr. S.R. Montgomery, the death angel camd quickly and took his mother, Mrs. Vincent Montgomery. She retired as usual Sunday night in her usual health and fell asleep never more to wake. She was a faithful member of the Methodist church. Three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Wright, of Genvada, Miss., Mrs. Barker Montgomery and Mrs. Eveline Beeland, of Taylor County; two sons, Messrs. Thomas and Robert Montgomery; one daughter, Mrs. Emma Youngblood, besides a host of other relatives and friends are left to mourn their loss. Her remains were interred in the Pine Level Cemetery Nov. 21st. Rev. Robinson, her pastor officiating. Additional Comments: Note from the transcriber: The first article gives Mrs. Montgomery's death date as November 19th, the second article, November 20th.
