January 25, 1932- December 27, 2007 COLUMBUS, GA— Mr. Dana Phillips, 75, of 
Columbus, died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at his home. Funeral services will 
be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 and Interment will be held 
privately at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 
p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Born in Marion County, Georgia, Dana was the 
son of the late Luther Matthew Phillips and Martha Anthony Phillips.  He was 
preceded in death by six brothers and a sister. Survivors include his wife of 
fifty-six years, Rosie Phillips of Columbus; two daughters, Fay Myers (Tommy) 
and Paula Jeffries (Robert), all of Columbus; two sons, Clifton Phillips 
(Charlene) of Woodland, GA and Matt Phillips of Columbus; three sisters, 
Kathryn Register (Jack) of Lake Lanier, Doris Palmer of Columbus and Nellie 
Howard of Olympia, WA; three brothers, J.W. Phillips (Billie) of Fortson, L.M. 
Phillips, Jr. of Marion County and Bobby Phillips (Diane) of Cataula, GA; eight 
grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
