Myrtice Upton Powell October 30,1910-September 14,2005 BUENA VISTA,GA
Myrtice Upton Powell,94, of Buena Vista, Ga.died Wednesday, Sept14, at Magnolia 
Manor of Marion County, where she has been a resident for nearly 13 years.
FUNERAL SERVICES will be 3 P M Sunday , Sept.18 at Uniom United Methodist 
Church with burial in Union Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Powell was born Oct 30,1910 in Marion Co.GA, the oldest child of the late 
David Alonza Upton and Susie Harbuck Upton.
Survivors include her four children, Billy Powell {LaVerne}of Buena Vista,Betty 
Smith {Richard} of  Atlanta,Annelle Moore {the late Robert} of Alpharetta, Ga, 
and Barbara Fincher{Doug} of Culloden, Ga. A sister, Janie Upton Jones of 
Reidsville,N. C. Grandchildren, Randy and Todd Powell,Barbara Benson Blakely 
and Mark Fincher. great grandchildren, Brad Powell, Kayla, Kasey and Kristi 
Powell: Elizabeth, Emily and William Blakely. She was the widow of E.E."Bo" 
Powell. Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Ga. in charge of arrangements

Additional Comments:
Mrs Powell spent many hours cleaning cemeteries and gathering data and sharing 
that information with people all over country. She also enjoyed quilting. she 
was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Marion county, Ga.
