Mina Davis Powell , age 97 of Buena Vista, Georgia died Tuesday, September 8, 
2009 at Magnolia Manor of Marion County.
Graveside services were held  Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Union United 
Methodiest Church Cemetery at 2 p.m. 
Mrs Powell was born May 19 , 1912 in Marion County, the daughter of the late 
Shadrack and Melissa Crosby Davis. She was the widow of Tom Powell to whom she 
was married for seventy-one years until his death in 1997.
Survivors include her sons, Clements Powell and Ricky Powell both of Buena 
Vista, Georgia. Stout Powell and wife Barbara of Americus, Georgia.  Donnie 
Powell and wife Delores of Warner Robins, Georgia, daughter Joyce Henson of 
Buena Vista, Georgia, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and three 
great grandchildren.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Powell, 
daughter Brenda Smith, grandson Danny Powell , daughter in law Weone Powell, 
son in law Gene Henson , and several brothers and sisters.
Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements
