Tri- County Journal &Chattahoochee J Chronicle, Buena Vista, GA  
Clements Alton Powell, Sr. 75,of Buena Vista, Ga died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at 
Vista Care Hospice in Columbus, Georgia.
Graveside services were held at 11a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Union 
Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating. 
Serving as active pallbearers were Billy Powell, Robert Well, Danny Minick, 
Jerry Davis, and Charles Kirby.

Mr Powell was born December 2, 1934 , in Marion Co to Roy Alton {Tom} Powell 
and Mina Davis Powell.

In addition to his parents , he was preceded in death by his wife, Weone, and 
by a sister, Brenda Powell Smith.
Survivors include a son, Alton Powell and wife Becky; two daughters; Leta 
Welch and husband Randy, and Nenia Bassett , all of Buena Vista;three 
brothers; Stout and Barbara Powell of Americus, GA, Donnie and Delores Powell 
of Warner Robins,GA:and Ricky Powell of Buena Vista, GA.and one sister, Joyce 
Henson of Buena Vista GA. Five grand children; Mitch and Samantha Welch, Jason 
Bassett, Matt Welch, Clint Powell, And Kinsey Powell, and one great 
grandchild; Talan Welch.
Tante Funeral Home, Buena Vista , Ga in charge of arrangements.
