Old Ft. Perry


On last Saturday about 8 o'clock a.m. the death
angel visited the home of Mr. Wes Phillips, taking
from there Mrs. S. F. Phillips, better known as
Grandma Phillips.  She was sick several days and in
her right mind until just a few hours before her
death.  She leaves nine children and a host of
relatives and friends to mourn their loss.


  Sleep on, dear mother, and take thy rest,
  The Lord needed you, and He knew best;
  The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh,
  Blessed be His name.


She was laid to rest in the family burial ground at
her old home place.


The funeral was conducted by Rev. Murray, of
Ellaville.
