Kaye Queen
Ms. Nena Kaye Queen, 70, of Columbus, passed away at St. Francis Hospital in 
Columbus, GA on October 15, 2021. Funeral services will be held in the chapel 
of Way-Watson Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 4:00 PM with Rev. 
David Chapman officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home 
on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Ms. Queen was born in Douglasville, GA on March 1, 1951 to Clyde and Eunice 
“Queenie” Queen. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. Kaye 
enjoyed crocheting, playing the piano, reading and watching science fiction 
shows and movies. She was well known in the area for being an Avon 
representative, during which she won the President’s Club Award many numerous 
times. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Harris and her husband, Richard of 
Buena Vista, GA; a brother, Larry Queen of Atlanta, GA and a grandson, Drew 
Harris.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the 
REACH Scholarship Fund, Marion County, 1 Eagle Dr., Buena Vista, GA 31803.
