The Marion County Patriot, No. 43 October 24, 1902 Page Five Little Lucy Rushin Dead In our last issue we mentioned the serious illness of little Lucy Rushin. Friday morning about sunrise the spirit of this sweet little girl took its flight to the angelic realm after a brief illness of about five days. Everything that the skill of physicians and good nursing by relatives and friends could do was done to save the sweet little girl from an untimely death, but all to no avail. She was almost seven years old and was an exceedingly bright child, one the leaders in her class at school. Her remains were laid to rest at the Methodist cemetery Friday afternoon. The heartbroken parents have the sympathy of our citizens in their sore affliction.
