Rogers, Sr. died at the home of T.L. Rogers, Jr. Wednesday afternoon. He had been in feeble health for a long time, and his death has been expected. The funeral services will be held at the Methodist church here this (Thursday) afternoon, and will be conducted by Rev. Wardlaw of Americus. Mr. Rogers was one of the pioneer citizens of this county, and a man held in high esteem by all who knew him. His long life was filled with useful work, and death found him ready to meet it. He was a man of great energy and until his health failed took a prominent part in all the affairs of life. He is surrounded by a widow and several sons and daughters – Messrs. J.S. and T.L. Rogers, Mesdames W.R. Hair, W.M. Williams and W.P. Wallis, of Americus.
