Rainey which occurred at the home of Col. T.B. Rainey in Buena Vista last Thursday afternoon, was one of the saddest and most unexpected deaths that has ever occurred in this community. Mrs. Rainey had been sick but a few days and no one realized that her condition was so serious. Mrs. Rainey was Miss Tyson before her marriage. She was a devoted wife, a fond mother and an ideal Christian. She now leaves four little children who are bereft of a mother’s love. Her remains were taken to Ellaville, accompanied by a number of sympathizing friends in special charge of the local Chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy, of which Mrs. Rainey was a loyal member. The many friends of Col. T.B. Rainey extend to him their deepest sympathy in this the hour of his great sorrow. The Marion County Patriot, No. 35 Friday, September 13, 1907 Page One Card of Thanks Mrs. Tison and family join me in expressing thanks to our friends for their many deeds of kindness, words of sympathy and assistance rendered us during our sad bereavement.
