Funeral services will be held at Oakland Baptist Church on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM. The family will greet friends beginning at 12:00PM until service time. Pallbearers will be Jackie Robinson, Darrell Robinson, Michael Robinson, Joey Robinson, Garrett Robinson, and Kyle Robinson. Burial will be private, following the service. Mr. Robinson was born October 18, 1947 in Talbotton, GA to Mervin Dewey and Mary Will Rutherford Robinson. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War having been stationed in Germany as a Green Beret. Upon leaving the Army, he began his career with Robinson Paving Company, where he retired as Vice President after a dedicated 54 years. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. Mr. Robinson was a lifelong resident of Juniper, GA where he enjoyed spending time on the farm and with his family, especially his grandchildren and his wife of 55 years, Marion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Turner and Mary Weaver. Survivors include his loving wife, Marion Robinson of Juniper, GA; three sons, Jeffrey Robinson and his wife, Jennifer, Adam Robinson and Stan Robinson, all of Juniper; nine grandchildren, Magen Rae Allen (Anthony), Kyle Robinson (Amber), Emily Robinson Haye (Damian), Jake Robinson, Abigail Robinson, Rani Robinson, Garrett Robinson, John Robinson, and Cora Robinson; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Robinson, Sr. and his wife, Barbara, and Bennie Robinson and his wife, Susan, all of Juniper; a sister, Sarah Robinson of Columbus, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
