Watson- Tante Funeral Home Buena Vista GA Posted June 27, 2013
James William Rowe, 70, of Buena Vista, GA, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 
Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 
Buena Vista Cemetery with Reverend David Chapman officiating. The family will 
receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4 PM. 

Mr. Rowe was born November 25, 1942, in Luthersville, GA, to Oliver Durward 
and Emma Annie Caldwell Rowe. He was employed by the Department of 
Transportation as a Mechanic Foreman. Coming from Meriwether County, he had 
been living in the area since 1993.  In addition to his parents, he was 
preceded in death by his sister, Claudine Murphy.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Rowe, two sons, Troy Rowe and Will Rowe, 
all of Buena Vista, GA; by two daughters, September and Christopher Wiggins of 
Plains, GA, and April and Robert Francis of Buena Vista, GA; by a brother, 
Douglas and Susan Rowe of Newnan, GA; four sisters, Ann Byrd of Cisco, GA, 
Carol Helton of Clayton, GA, Janice and Tony Murray of Grovetown, GA, and June 
and Gary Layton of FL. Grandchildren, Gamble Wiggins, Sterlyn McCullough, 
Savannah McCullough, Sharin McCullough, Jessica Rowe, and Tiffany Rowe also 
survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these 
arrangements.
