SALES, WILLIAM
Mr. Sales was born September 1, 1900 in Marion County, GA , son of Leonard and 
Mary Searcy Sales.
He married Bessie Lee Crouch; He was a member of Mt Olive Baptist Church. He 
died August 13, 1977 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Funeral 
services were held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 1977 at Mt Olive Baptist 
Church in Tazewell, GA.; burial in Tazewell Cemetery, Marion County, GA Sons-
in-law served as pallbearers.  He is survived by his wife, 5 sons: Mr. Harry 
Sales of Kansas City, MO, Mr. William N Sales, Mr. Clyde Sales, Mr. Milton 
Sales, and Mr. Augusta Sales; 11 daughters, Mrs. Lucinda Blanford, Mrs. 
Flossie Edwards of Kansas City, MO, Mrs. Evelyn Thornton of Tarpon Springs, 
FL, Mrs. Azzie Lee Allen, Mrs. Gracie Rushin, Mrs. Willie M McCrory, Mrs. 
Thelma Crawford, Ms Erma P Sales, Mr. Lela M Cook, Mrs. Elizabeth Shelton, 
Mrs. Mary Ellen Moses, all of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Mr. Lester Sales, and 
Reverend Myrtle Sales of Buena Vista, GA; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lucy Boyd of 
Brooklyn, NY and Mrs. Katie Jackson of Fort Valley, GA; 58 grandchildren, 18 
great grandchildren.
